Sourcing & Authenticity
Our Sourcing
Della Foca sources vintage and pre-owned jewelry from a range of trusted channels, including local estate sales, private collections, online auctions, and Japanese auctions.
Our sourcing process prioritizes authenticity, condition, and design value. We work across different channels to access a wider range of vintage designer and collectible jewelry, from well-preserved estate pieces to harder-to-find items from international resale markets.
Our Review Process
Every piece is carefully reviewed before listing. We examine available signatures, hallmarks, maker’s marks, construction, materials, hardware, age indicators, design details, and overall condition.
For vintage jewelry, authentication is often based on a combination of details rather than one single factor. Signatures, clasp style, plating, stone setting, weight, construction, wear pattern, and design language can all help support an item’s attribution.
Transparency in Listings
We do our best to photograph signatures, hallmarks, hardware, condition, and other relevant details clearly. Photos are taken for the specific item being listed and are considered part of that item’s description. We do not use interchangeable photos between items.
If a piece is unsigned, partially signed, or attributed based on design and construction, we will describe it as clearly as possible. We also note visible flaws, wear, repairs, or condition concerns when observed.
Vintage Limitations
Della Foca is a vintage resale shop and not the original manufacturer or an official brand authentication service. Many vintage pieces no longer come with original receipts, boxes, cards, or documentation.
We source and sell only pieces we believe to be authentic, and our goal is to provide buyers with clear information, detailed photos, and a thoughtful, transparent shopping experience.
